What Our Pest Control Work Covers

Last updated: October 2026

Hawaii Pest Pros provides residential and commercial pest services across Hawaii, including termite treatments, ant and cockroach control, rodent work, bed bug service, mosquito reduction, flea and wasp treatments, and inspections. All pesticide applications follow the product label as required by FIFRA, Hawaii Revised Statutes Chapter 149A, and Hawaii Administrative Rules Chapter 66. Our technicians are licensed under Hawaii structural pest control operator requirements, and fumigants are transported and handled under DOT hazardous materials rules.

Some work falls outside a standard service visit and requires a separate written agreement. This includes structural repairs, soil pretreatment during new construction, extensive exclusion projects, and any treatment requiring extended equipment setup.

We will tell you before work begins if your situation needs a different scope. All pesticides are mixed, applied, stored, and disposed of according to EPA label requirements and Hawaii Department of Agriculture Pesticides Branch rules.

Booking, Rescheduling, and Cancellations

Appointments can be scheduled by phone or email. Once booked, we confirm your arrival window and any preparation steps, such as clearing access to treatment areas or covering food items. Please give us at least 24 hours notice if you need to cancel or move an appointment. Late cancellations or missed visits may be subject to a trip fee, which we will explain when you book.

If our technician arrives and finds conditions different from what was described for example, a larger infested area or signs of drywood termites that require fumigation instead of a spot treatment we will stop, explain what we found, and get your approval before changing the scope or price. No additional work happens without your okay. Weather, fumigant transport requirements, and permit delays can occasionally affect timing, and we will contact you promptly if your appointment needs to shift.

Quotes, Pricing, and Payment Terms

We provide written estimates before any paid work begins. For most treatments, an inspection is needed first so the quote reflects what your property actually requires.

Estimates list the services included, the products to be used, and the number of visits covered. If we find something during the job that changes the work needed, we will present a revised estimate for your approval before continuing.

Payment is due when service is completed unless a different arrangement is stated in your written agreement. For multi-visit programs, such as termite treatments or recurring maintenance, payment terms will be spelled out in that agreement.

We accept payment by phone, on site, or through the invoice we send. If you have questions about a charge, contact us before the due date and we will review it with you. We do not begin any work outside the approved estimate without your written or verbal go-ahead.

Our Workmanship Warranty

Hawaii Pest Pros stands behind the quality of our application work. If a treated area shows renewed pest activity within the warranty period stated in your service agreement, we will return and re-treat at no additional charge. The length of coverage depends on the type of service termite treatments, general pest programs, and fumigation each carry different terms, and the specific duration for your job is written into your agreement.

Coverage can be voided under certain conditions. These include structural changes to the property after treatment, new construction or renovations that disturb treated soil or wood, poor sanitation or conditions that attract pests, unauthorized repairs over treated areas, and failure to follow the preparation or follow-up instructions we provide.

Regular pest pressure from neighboring properties may also fall outside warranty terms. If you believe you have a warranty issue, call us and we will inspect the area and explain what is and is not covered.

Limits on Our Liability

Our responsibility for any claim arising from our services is limited to the amount you paid for the service in question. We are not responsible for pre-existing damage, hidden infestations that were not visible or disclosed during inspection, or problems caused by conditions on the property that we did not create.

All pesticide use follows the product label under FIFRA, Hawaii Revised Statutes Chapter 149A, and Hawaii Administrative Rules Chapter 66, and our work is performed by technicians licensed under Hawaii structural pest control rules. Damage resulting from a homeowner’s or contractor’s actions after treatment including digging near treated soil, sealing over entry points, or disturbing treated wood is not our responsibility.

Fumigant transport and handling comply with DOT hazardous materials requirements. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Hawaii law.

If a claim arises, contact us first so we can review the situation and work toward a fair resolution.
